After making that adorable children table set, I instantly went searching for a new project! What I found was a plethora of ideas and I immediately started making a list of which projects I wanted to tackle first, and at the very top of the list was this coffee table. It was once again, an inspiration from Ana at Knock-Off Wood and was soooo much fun to make!
But once I had it done, I couldn’t decide on a color. I LOVED the original green, but it was just a bit too flashy for what I had in my living room at the time (which was ALL beige/ tan color due to my past indecisive-ness).
I finally decided that I could use a little color in my life, and it snow-balled from there.
After the coffee table I threw some picture frames together and painted them orange (which are still waiting for mats, as you can see)…
Then some purple decorative box wall shelves…
Then, because my apartment is quite small, I decided to tie it into my kitchen (a mere 5 feet away from the couch). So I painted my pop-out wall purple and hit the D.I. (a local, Utah thrift store) for miscellaneous containers and greenery. I painted them up to match and threw them on top of my cabinets, made another small picture frame for above the stove that has a saying “Our house is just a little house, But God knows where we live” and ta-daa!
A little less beige and a little more happy to remind me everyday how great and colorful life is =)
